Serenade oil/panel 14"x18"
It's officially one month before my solo show "Alight" at Sage Creek Gallery in Santa Fe. I've been concentrating on still life for several months now and am getting excited for the opening. I will have fifteen new paintings for the show. The opening coincides with a weekend of festivities celebrating food and art in Santa Fe called ArtFeast. ArtFeast is an annual fundraiser by Artsmart in Santa Fe featuring prominent restaurants, chefs and caterers along with galleries and artists for several days of delicious events. The Edible Art Tour (EAT) kicks off the weekend. Forty galleries pair up with local restaurants for a special evening tour of art openings and parties with sweet and savory gourmet treats at each stop. My gallery teams up with Pizzeria Da Lino. Other events over the weekend include a fashion show, art of home tour, gourmet plated dinner and an artists brunch. There are several different art auctions taking place including wonderful artwork, paintings and pottery made by students in the Santa Fe school district. These kids have talent! Which is wonderful because the proceeds from the event go to the local schools for art programs and art supplies. It's an awesome event with a very awesome cause.
